He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Marmara University School of Medicine and started the residency training in the Department of Urology at the same faculty in 1995. He completed his urological residency in 2000. He earned the degrees of Associate Professor in 2010, and Professor of Urology in 2016, and by February 2016 he joined the Department of Urology at Medical School of Medeniyet University.
Dr. Yildirim specialized in the treatment of genitourinary cancers, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, renal cancer and testicular cancer. His research interests include imaging, pathology and genetics of prostate cancer, bladder cancer and renal cancer.
